The Raleigh -Durham Airport Authority (Authority) respectfully submits an original and one copy of
the fiscal year (April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022) Annual Report, in accordance with WQCS
Permit No. WQCS00189 (Permit). This report was also emailed to Michael Montebello in NC
Department of Environmental Quality's (NCDEQ) Division of Water Resources (DWR) Pretreatment,
Emergency Response & Collections Systems (PERCS) Unit.

Facility Description: The Authority owns and operates a wastewater collection system.
This system serves Airport tenants and customers through
approximately 12 miles of sanitary sewer lines and 20 duplex
pump/lift stations. The wastewater is conveyed to the North Cary

II. Performance
Water Reclamation Facility (NC0048879) and/or to Raleigh's
Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility (NC0029033).
North Carolina General Statute §143-215.1C requires the Airport Authority to prepare and post
an annual collection system performance report. The system performance over the respective
twelve-month period is summarized below:

• There were no reportable bypasses or spills for this reporting period.
Violations:
• There were no violations for this reporting period.
III. Notification
This report is also available at the Airport Authority Administrative Offices. To request a copy
or to request further information regarding the Raleigh -Durham International Airport
Wastewater Collection System, please contact the Airport Authority's Director of
Environmental Programs at (919) 840-7700.
Of note, the Authority submitted a permit renewal application in April 2021, but has not yet received
correspondence from NCDEQ regarding the renewal status. Inquiries to DWR staff indicated there was
a backlog but a timeline for when to expect the renewed permit was not provided. Please do not
