The federal Clean Water Act requires that pollution be treated at the source of the problem, not downstream in public waters. By employing floating mixers (known as SolarBees) downstream in Jordan Lake the state is not complying with federal law. This is unacceptable! Jordan Lake is plagued by nitrogen and phosphorus pollution from upstream sources and these unproven floating mixers do not treat that. When these mixers fail to do their job, the condition of Jordan Lake will be worse than ever. If you believe this KitchenAide stirring /blending process will actually improve water quality at Jordan Lake, please take a glass of lake water, stir it every day for a week, then drink it. Please oppose the use of SolarBees on Jordan Lake. Thank you. Sincerely, Chuck Morton 102 -D Laurel Avenue Carrboro, NC 27510
