This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in NPDES Permit #NC0044024. NPDES Permit NC0044024 is for the continued operation of conventional water treatment plant with episodic discharge of wastewater from filter backwash with monthly average discharge of 0.799 MGD. Discharge is to an unnamed tributary of Little Long Creek, classified as Class C waters, in the Yadkin Pee -Dee River Basin. At time of inspection wastewater discharge is into the City of Albemarle sanitary sewer collection sytstem. No discharge via Outfall #001 was reported during the 12-month compliance review period March 2021 through February 2022. Review of discharge point #001, into unnamed tributary of Little Long Creek, found no evidence of discharge. Please Note that in accordance with the current NPDES Permit NC0044024, Part II, Section D, (3) Flow Measurements, Flow measurement devices shall be accurately calibrated at a minimum of once per year and maintained to ensure accuracy.
