Subject: [EXTERNAL] circulators in Jordan Lake
Hello from Chatham Co. NC,
I would like to comment on the State of NC's plan to install circulators on Jordan Lake.
This is one stupid plan, purely political, makes no sense, and is total waste of tax payer money.
The political party in power right now is pretty much in denial about the source of pollution in Jordan Lake.
The problem is upstream, that's where the money needs to go, in the form of stricter regulations on development in the
watershed.
Since the Republicans are not willing to stand up to the real estate and land development folks, their big money political
supporters, this is the plan the taxpayers get?
They want to make it look like the problem is in Jordan Lake, which it is not.
From the no competition bid price on these machines, to the lack of any scientific benefit, this whole process is purely
political.
If the Army Corp of Engineers goes along with this farce, shame on you.
I always thought engineers looked at the scientific and numerical data, instead of the political.
