The proposed bridge will maintain the exisitng level of service. Wetland areas are present in all four quadrants. The roadway grade was set to minimize fill in the wetlands. The roadway fill slopes were reduced to 3:1 to minimze fill in the wetlands. To further reduce wetland impacts, the fill slope in the norteast quadrant was reduced to 1.5:1 with slope protection added to stabilize the steep slope. Toe protection is proposed for all fill slopes within the wetlands. Streambank stabilization is being proposed to protect the bridge abutments. Shoulder berm gutter is proposed along the roadway to carry storm runoff and disperse it outside buffer areas.General Project Narrative:(Description of Minimization of Water Quality Impacts) (Version 3.00; Released August 2021)TIP/Proj No.:BP4.R014County(ies):Halifax Page 2 of 2Aquatic T&E Species?NoComments:No N/AN/AAquatic T&E Species?Comments:Aquatic T&E Species?Comments:North Carolina Department of TransportationHighway Stormwater Program STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR NCDOT PROJECTSWBS Element:Supplemental Classification: Surface Water Body (2): Deck Drains Discharge Over Water Body?(If yes, provide justification in the General Project Narrative)NRTR Stream ID:Tar-PamlicoSurface Water Body (1): Deep CreekNCDWR Stream Index No.:28-79-32-(0.5)General Project InformationSupplemental Classification: Nutrient Sensitive Waters (NSW)Waterbody InformationNCDWR Surface Water Classification for Water BodyNRTR Stream ID:Buffer Rules in Effect:NRTR Stream ID:Other Stream Classification: Impairments:Project Includes Bridge Spanning Water Body?
