Box 29535 Raleigh, NC 27626-0535 Subject: Engineers Certification for ATC Number 003760ACC DuPont Kinston Facility NPDES Permit Number NC0003760 Lenoir County Dear Mr. Goodrich: CH2M HILL 115 Perimeter Center Place N.E Suite 700 Atlanta, GA 30146.1278 Tel 770.604.9095 Fax 770.604.9183 Installation of the 2.2 meter belt filter press (BFP) at the DuPont facility in Kinston, North Carolina, has been completed. CH2M HILL inspected the BFP installation on September 2, 1999. The BFP was installed according to the plans and specifications with two exceptions: - Two 4-inch filtrate drain lines were installed instead of one 6-inch drain line. - The carport -type cover will not be installed until after the BFP is fully operational. These changes are relatively minor, and CH2M HILL feels that the installation of the BFP is within substantial compliance and intent of the approved plans and specifications. Therefore, enclosed is a completed Engineer's Certification Form.
