On 4/5/2022, Tricia Lowery met with Mike Jolly, ORC to perform Compliance Evaluation Inspection at
LP Roaring River WWTP, NC0005266. This inspection consisted of two parts: 1) in -office file review,
and 2) on -site inspection of the treatment facility. Mike Jolly assisted with the in -office review, and
escorted inspector through the facility during the on -site inspection. The attached EPA inspection
form detail the areas that were evaluated with their respective comments.
This facility is currently ungoing changes that will ultimatley transistion to a non -discharge facililty.
Currently, the facility does not discharge to surface waters. Overall, the facility is well maintained and
no significant issues were found during inspection.

Comment: Submitted a permit modification application to existing permit on April 16, 2021.
Operations now focuses on paint finishes for siding as production of siding has moved
to another location. Coating wastewater is currently at a flow of <2000 gpd (projected
max of 6000 gpd future). Currently has 5 year pump and haul contract with DEQ.
Coatings have low VOC's (water based coating). Future plans (currently being
implemented) are: close out diversion ponds, block outlet to mix box, solids to landfill,
treated wastewater storage and evaporation between #1 and #2 lagoons (with
operation of 1-2 surface aerators), and treated coating wastewater going into aeration
basin, then transfered to lagoons for evaporation. *NPDES for sanitary
flow/non-discharge for production flow. Sanitary flow on permit 0.03 MGD going to
Outfall #2

refrigerator/sample storage). Lab is well maintained. Inspector found no issues.

reporting.
