Hi Derek -
Hope you are well. I'm reviewing the Rapoport Stream restoration project. The plan doesn't provide much
detail can you address the following:
• Are the areas where you are grading the areas with the drawn -in elevation lines?
Yes. We are simply just sloping the banks and creating a bench/floodplain
•
• You note that the buffer width will be 10-30 ft. What is the average width of planted buffer?
I would estimate the buffer to be about 15' on average.
•
• Will you be simply pulling the banks back and sloping, or will there be any reconstruction (e.g.,
placing the channel back to original location)?
Just sloping and creating floodplain
•
• If you are just sloping and planting, why is a pump -around needed?
It's primarily as a precaution.

•
• Impacts of 305' of stream are noted, but the plans show impacts (if I'm reading them correctly) of just
over 200'. Can you clarify?
The reach we are working on is 305 total.
•
• If you've got a few pictures, this might clarify the situation could you send along?
I will send those along in a separate email.
•
Thank you,
Andrea
