Box 429 Kings Mountain, NC 28086 Subject: Dear Ms. Meek: Pretreatment Review of Industrial User Pretreatment Permit Modifications Program: City of Kings Mountain WWTP: Kings Mountain WWTP, NPDES # NC0020737, Cleveland County The Municipal Unit of the Division of Water Resources has reviewed the Industrial User Pretreatment Permit (IUP) modification submitted by the City of Kings Mountain for the following Significant Industrial User (Sill). The first version of the IUP modifications were received by the Division on 02/14/2022, with signed corrected revisions received 03/24&25/2022. The following IUPs have been appropriately revised from the original submission with limits for 40 CFR 433.17 (PSNS). CORMETECH, IUP# 032, Inc. has been corrected to include the appropriate 40 CFR 433.17 limit for Silver - rather than monitoring only for Silver. SIU # SIU NAME 015 Buckeye Anodizing & Stamping Co. 026 CVG Kings Mountain 032 CORMETECH, Inc. The review indicates that the IUPs are adequate and meeting the minimum requirements of 15A NCAC 2H .0905 and .0916 and 40 CFR 403.8(f)(1)(iii). The allocation table, maintained in the Division's database, has been updated accordingly. Regardless of this approval action today, within 180 days of the effective date of any reissued NPDES permit (or any subsequent NPDES permit modification) the Permittee would be required to submit to the Division a written technical evaluation of the need to revise local limits (i.e., an updated IWS, or documentation of why one is not needed). This action may include revising, updating or adding to the list of Significant Industrial Users (SIU's).
