Describe the attachments or comments: This is a more information response to document a modification of the existing proposed pipe replacement on SR 1538, Manning Road in Martin County.A Courtesy Notification for the pipe replacement was sent on March 17,2022 and this project was assigned Project Id no.20220438 v1.The proposed pipe dimensions were 72"x 40'. NCDOT staff in consultation with USACE Project Manager Mr. Kyle Barnes, have determined that a re- alignment of the pipe inlet with the stream bed above and below the road would improve flow and aquatic life movement and thus the stream functions in this location.The pipe outlet location would remain in it's current location.The pipe inlet would shift approximately 30'to align with the stream.The pipe length will need to increase by a maximum of 20'. Therefore NCDOT will be installing a 78"x 60'CAP at this location replacing the existing 60"x 40'CMP.
