ROGERS, JR. Director NORTH CAROLINA Environmental Quality 3/23/2022 Via Electronic Mail (Misty.Conder@thomasville-nc.gov) Ms. Misty Conder Laboratory Supervisor City of Thomasville P.O. Box 368 Thomasville, NC 27361 Subject: Pretreatment Review of Industrial User Pretreatment Permit Renewal Program: City of Thomasville WWTP: Hamby Creek WWTP, NPDES # NC0024112, Davidson County Dear Ms. Conder: The Municipal Unit of the Division of Water Resources has reviewed the Industrial User Pretreatment Permit (IUP) renewals submitted by the City of Thomasville for the following Significant Industrial Users (SIUs). The lUPs were received by the Division on 01/31/2022. SIU # SIU NAME 0028 Advanced Material Coatings 0008 Brass Craft - Thomasville 0018 Finch Industries, Inc. The review indicates that the IUPs are adequate and meeting the minimum requirements of 15A NCAC 2H .0905 and .0916 and 40 CFR 403.8(f)(1)(iii). The allocation table, maintained in the Division's database, has been updated accordingly. Regardless of this approval action today, within 180 days of the effective date of any reissued NPDES permit (or any subsequent NPDES permit modification) the Permittee would be required to submit to the Division a written technical evaluation of the need to revise local limits (i.e., an updated IWS, or documentation of why one is not needed). This action may include revising, updating or adding to the list of Significant Industrial Users (SlU's). Federal and State pretreatment regulations require the local delegated pretreatment program to effectively control and document the discharge of wastewater from Significant/Categorical Industrial Users to the POTW. It is the POTW's responsibility to ensure that these objectives are consistently met. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Keyes McGee at (919) 707-3626 [email: keyes.mcgee@ncdenr.gov] Thank you for your continued support of the Pretreatment Program. tkm/Thomasville.iup.ren.031 Ec: Municipal Unit File Jim Gonsiewski, WSRO Central Files (Laserfische) GDEQi NORTH CAROLINA oep.m.m oremrnment Qualm, Sincerely, cil DocuSigned by: ki ka d M o14t lot11.e C464531431644FE... for Richard E.
