The land use in the area is primarily agriculture with rural residential housing.Existing NC 32/37 and SR 1108 are two-lane roadways.

Realignment of the intersection of NC 32 and NC 37 to improve geometrics,visibility,and safety for traffic.Additional right-of-way will required to accommodate the proposed
improvements.The proposed project is approximately 0.294 mi.long.

NC 32 and SR 1108 will be realigned on upland areas with new roadside ditches cut.Multiple culverts will be replaced throughout the project.Project will result in 0.04 acre of permanent
fill in wetlands&0.05 acre of excavation in wetlands.Standard road building equipment,such as trucks,pavers,excavators,and bulldozers will be used.
