Subject: Request for Oil&Grease Removal
NPDES Permit NC0059218
Davidson County
Dear Mr. Pappas:
The Division does not concur with your request, received on July 15, 2009, for removal of the Oil&Grease limit and
monitoring. We consider oil and grease a pollutant of concern for a restaurant operation, and the submitted DMRs show
that not all reported effluent oil&grease values were below the level of detection. It is recommended that you submit any
comments regarding your current permit conditions with your next permit renewal, and the Division will evaluate those
comments before issuing the next permit. Please call me at 919-807-6390 with any questions on this permit requirement.

Dear Mrs. Sullins,
I would like to request that oil and grease be taken off limits because for the past 2-3 years I didn't
have any high limits. Our business is extremely slow, due to the economy, and this would help save
money at the lab.
Thank you,
Steve Pappas
