I’ve reviewed your request dated December 14, 2021 (received 12/17/21) for the use of ‘bucket and barge’ dredging in
the Southdock Ferry Basin. This request will not require a written modification of 401 Water Quality Certification No.
004115 that was issued on June 23, 2017 for this activity (DWR project # 20170508). All the terms and conditions of the
original certification dated June 23, 2017 and the modification dated June 26, 2021 still apply including any
requirements or moratoriums established by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission (WRC), US Fish and Wildlife Service
(USFWS), NC Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF), or National Marine Fisheries (NMFS). Let me know if you have any
