Good afternoon, Hope your having a good day, I copied these questions to ease the process of answering. 1. Where are non SCM facilities inventoried/tracked? We have a inventory of every city owned facility, building, parks etc.... its broken down by departmental ownership. This inventory is managed by our Buildings and Grounds Superintendent. 2. Are these listed in SharePoint? As of now the inventory is not available on SharePoint, but I'm working to make it available. Hope that helps, Avery Smith Stormwater Superintendent City of New Bern — Public Works Department — Stormwater Division Mailing Address: P. O.Box 1129, New Bern, N.C. 28563 Shipping Address: 1004 S. For the final question, I meant facilities such as the municipal facility where vehicles are stored and where the facility inspection was conducted as part of the audit. This question is helping to confirm that the permittee maintained and implemented an O&M program for municipally owned and operated facilities with the potential for generating polluted stormwater runoff. Pleas contact me with other questions for items in need of clarification. Thx. Good morning, I hope all is well, and I'll answer these questions in the order presented. 1. We have a outfall app in place, it is in testing and should be fully operational within calendar year 2022. 2. The revision process for our Stormwater Manual will begin first of the year. We will also begin re -constructing our website at the same time and will post a copy of the Stormwater plan and revised manual together. Hopefully this process will not exceed 6 months. 3. A. That is correct, while personnel are conducting cleaning and maintenance, they are also checking outfalls for any discrepancies. If anything arises, it is reported to me for investigation. B. If everything falls into place six months should be more than enough time to have a better website up and running. We will create a schedule to update website on a more frequent basis. C. Yes, a PDF of our IDDE form as well as a more deliberate reporting avenue will be add to our stormwater page. D. That is correct. 4. We don't purposely wash streets, we have a street sweeping program and our sweeper uses minimal water to accomplish that mission (it mostly as a way to control dust). 5. Its is may understanding that the use of the self -assessment tool is a sufficient means of reporting, I attached copies of the requested years. 6. As of now yes, we are going to have a dedicated avenue on our revamped Stormwater Page. 7. We inspect all SCM's within city limits using the App we exhibited at the in person audit. 8. Yes, Who's facilities do you mean city? I'll be looking forward to your answers to the couple of questions I had. First, thanks again for hosting the MS4 audit last week. This email message has some follow-up questions and/or confirmations. Responding to these items will help with audit report completion. Please contact me if any of these items needs explanation or clarification. 1. New Bern uses a GIS digital reference system that includes the entire stormwater collection system (inlets, pipes, SCMs, etc.). SCMs are inspected using an app. New Bern plans to also use an app for the outfall inspection/screening. When is this expected to be fully implemented, three months, six months???? 2. When does New Bern plan to combine/revise the Stormwater Management Manual (https://www.newbernnc.gov/Public%20Works/StormwaterMngmtManualRev9012007.pdf) and the Stormwater Management Plan (20210921) and then post online? 3. Please confirm the following: a. Dry weather outfall inspections are done on the maintenance schedule - https://www.newbernnc.gov/document center/public%20works/MaintenanceSchedule.pdf? b. Website improvements will be completed in the next six? Months? c. IDDE form will be placed on the website during the time frame listed in b (above)? d. There are no density requirements for proposed projects, but all projects that disturb half acre or more must control peak flow. 4. What does New Bern do with wash wastewater generated from street washing? In Ordinance Section 15-526. - Prohibition of illegal discharges, street washing is mentioned as one of the activities not considered to be source of pollutants. 5. New Bern provided the 2017, 2018, and 2019 annual reports. Please provide the 2020 and 2021 annual reports. This will help complete a few sections of the audit report. 6. Is this the website to report an IDDE: https://www.newbernnc.gov/departments/utilities/water and sewer/how to report a sewer backup. >tp or is there another site? If there is another site, please provide link as I could not find it. Or was this going to be added as part of website improvements? 7. Does New Bern inspect all SCMs are only municipal SCMs? If non municipal SCMs inspected by their responsible entities, how do they report to New Bern? 8. SCMs are all tracked in GIS database. Where are non SCM facilities inventoried/tracked? Are these listed in sharepoint? Were permitted vs. non permitted facilities distinguished? You may have shared info related to this during the audit. I may have some other questions, but hopefully this email message includes the majority of them. Thx again.
