NOTICE OF DISCHARGED OF UNTREATED SEWAGE
The City of Kings Mountain had a discharge of untreated wastewater from our collection system at Potts
Creek near Stoney Point Road and Tiara Drive, Kings Mountain, NC of approximately 3.1 million gallons.
The discharge occurred on February 7, 2020 for approximately 10 hours. The untreated wastewater
entered into Potts Creek in the Broad River Basin. The City repaired the creek bank to prevent further
erosion/discharge. This notice was required by North Carolina General Statutes Article 21, Chapter
