Klimek, P.E. Director Division,of Water Quality I have reviewed the - information submitted for the, project referericed.by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBR 03 -073. An evaluation of the stream features present on the property was performed on February.24, 2003 to determine whether or not the, site would require, compliance with the Neuse.Buffer Rules. The features represented on the Wake County Soils and the Raleigh West USGS topographic maps were evaluated to determine, their subjectivity,to the Rule. The soils map delineates'a stream, bisecting, the property while the USGS only depicts the pond,to the north. As a result of the site visit, lit was determined that, the feature'shown on the soil; map becomes a stream at the edge of the pond and is therefore subject -to the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient. Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code 15A:20B.0233. This letter addresses' only those issues involving the riparian area., For Information relative to water quality permitting, buffer impacts,,401 /404, or wetland issues, please contact Mr. John Dorney at 919- 733 -1786.
