On December 1, 2021, Brian Lambe from the Wilmington Regional Office of the Division of Energy, Mineral, and
Land Resources (DEMLR), conducted a compliance evaluation inspection for Valley Proteins, Inc Rose Hill
Division located on Yellow Cut Road, Duplin County, North Carolina.
The following observations were noted during the DEMLR inspection (please see the attached addendum for
additional information about your permit):
1) Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP)
A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP) has been developed, recorded, and properly implemented.

response must be carried over from the previous permit period, it does not restart. You must reinstitute Tier III
status for outfalls 3 and 4 for COD and TSS. Additionally, you must sample for fecal coliform at these two
outfal Is.

If the facility was in Tier III during permit renewal, the tier does NOT reset. If you had three
samples exceed the benchmark, that resets, but once Vou achieve the specified tier, it must be
complied with until conditions merit relief. Therefor, you must re-evaluate your tier status.
