Chambers Road Enhancement Project (paving)
Rougemont, Durham County, NC
On November 7, 2002, I conducted a site visit of the feature involved in the above
referenced project as identified on the attached maps. It was determined that the feature shown
on the Durham County Soil Survey, but absent on the USGS Rougemont, NC Quad map could
potentially be subject to protection under the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters
Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative
Code T15A: 0213.0233 (NCAC .0233). Crossing #1, the feature crossing Chambers Road at this
point was found to be not subject.
This letter only addresses the applicability of the Neuse Buffer Rules. For information
relevant to wetlands and other impacts, please contact the Central Office at 733 -1786. Thank you
