Dear Mr. Preuninger:
This letter will serve as confirmation of the buffer determination made by S &EC at the
subject property referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 03 -006.
On August 27, 2002, I conducted a site visit of features A, B, C and ponds 1, 2 and 3
involved in the above referenced project as identified on the attached figures 1 and 2. It was
determined that the features shown on the Wake County Soil Survey and on the USGS Fuquay-
Varina, NC Quad map could potentially be subject to protection under the Neuse River Basin:
Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian
Areas, Administrative Code T15A: 0213.0233 (NCAC .0233). Features A and C are not subject.
Feature B is subject from flag 110 to flag U42. Ponds 1, 2 and 3 are all subject.
This letter only addresses the applicability of the Neuse Buffer Rules. For information
relevant to wetlands and other impacts, please contact the Central Office at 733 -1786. Thank yo u
