II. PERFORMANCE
All three (3) wastewater treatment operations work the same way. Filtered backwash
water flows to an open lagoon which allows solids to settle out before clear water is
discharged to surface waters. Solids collecting in the lagoons may then be removed,
treated, and disposed of at the Robeson County Landfill.
During the time period of Jan. - Dec., 1999, all operations ran smoothly with no permit
or environmental violations. All three (3) permits have been renewed during the past
year and are valid until 2004.
