ANNUAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT REPORT 2006
City of Lumberton
PERMIT # NC0024571
The City of Lumberton is pleased to present the Annual Wastewater Treatment Report
for plant performance for the fiscal year 2006. This report is done annually for North
Carolina customers and North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural
Resources. The report period is from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007. The report includes
twelve months of effluent limitations and monitoring requirements as required by plant
discharge permit NC0024571.
The Wastewater facility is located at+700, Lafayette St., Lumberton, NC, 28358. The
operator in responsible charge is Jon W. Locklear. Persons needing any additional
information concerning this report can call Wastewater Treatment Plant at 910-671-3859_
The facility is 20 million gallons per day (MGD); activated sludge extended aeration
process. All domestic and industrial wastewater generated by customers is treated at the
facility with a daily discharge effluent to the Lumber River. The discharge to effluent is
tested and monitored per regulations in the permit NC0024571. The facility reports
monthly to the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
Wastewater Plant Facility Performance
The City of Lumberton Wastewater Treatment Plant did perform exceptionally well for
the reporting period. The facility had one permit reporting violation. The Chlorine
Residual exceeded the permit limit by 0.5 micrograms_ The plantreported a Chlorine
Residual 28.5microogram for this day. The violation occurred on December 18, 2006.

The City of Lumberton has advertised in the stated News Paper ( leg. keel tc?
for a period of one week /five days. The 2006 Annual Wastewater Treatment Plant
Report will be on file at the City Clerk's Office at 501 West 5th Street, Lumberton NC.
