REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Siegal:
On October 20, 2006, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) issued a 401 Water Quality
Certification to place permanent fill in 1201inear feet of perennial stream and temporary fill in
10 linear feet of perennial stream and to impact 201inear feet of intermittent stream in order to
construct Glennstone Subdivision. Condition- 2 of the 401 Certification requires that a
stormwater management plan be submitted to and approved by the DWQ.
On June 28, 2007, the DWQ received a letter about the Glennstone Subdivision submitted by
Westcott Engineering & Consulting, PC. This letter requests this project be excused from the
401 Certification's requirement for a stormwater management plan since the built-upon area for
this project will now be limited to 29 percent (which is below 401 Program's threshold for
requiring a stormwater management plan of 30 percent built-upon area).
This change will require a modification to the 401 Certification issued for the Glennstone
Subdivision. Please provide the following information so that the DWQ may process this
modification.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Please provide an inventory of the impervious surface areas on the site such as lot built-
upon area, rights of way, etc. Please demonstrate that the impervious surface will be
below 30 percent.
