storage lagoons, chlorine,contact chamber (for disinfection), magnesium hydroxide feed systenb flpflu nin,
measurement (Parshall flume), and irrigation piping and solid set spray nozzles. The Town is currently
replacing the existing 3-inch Parshall flume with a 6-inch Parshall flume in preparation for receiving
wastewater from Samarkand Manor. The facility is located on Old Barn Road approximately 1'/2 miles
east of Town. Wastewater is applied to approximately 44 acres of turf and there is no direct dischar e
from this facility to a stream or other surface water.

February — Freeboard in lagoon of approximately 1 foot versus permit limit of 2 feet minimum
There were no environmental impacts as the result of this violation. The Town took steps to increase the
freeboard when weather permitted spray irrigation of the lagoon contents.

Public notice placed in local newspaper summarizing this report and informing the public that a copy of
this report can be obtained at the Candor Town Hall.
