Construction Sequence: A. Notify City of Jacksonville Public Works Department, Engineer and Owner prior to beginning construction. B. Sediment control measures are required to be installed at the earliest practicable date after start of work. Grading operations shall begin at low points, points of outfoll release or at other locations of where sediment control measures are shown on plan; and the sediment control devices (sediment traps, silt fences, diversions storm water treatment areas, etc.) shall be installed before grading of any area draining to the device. C. Limits of clearing will be as shown. Silt fences are shown based on topographic information in the locations expected to be needed to trap sediment prior to entering down slope areas. Actual locations of installation shall be adjusted to the actual physical on site topography. That is, where silt fence is not shown on the plan but the actual topography reflects a downward slope, silt fence shall be installed. Where the actual topography reflects on upward slope silt fence is not required. D. Install stabilized construction entrance prior to beginning construction. E. Clear and grub project area. Haul off all cleared debris. No burning allowed. F. Strip and stockpile topsoil for later use. Bring site up to rough grade. Muck and fill existing ditches. G. This project involves the placement of large quantities of select fill over the entire site. Fill dirt shall be placed onsite such that any erosion will stay onsite. Bring up perimeter grade first and provide with immediate ground cover. After perimeter placement is complete continue to bring the remainder of the project up to grade. W. Temporary. seed any areas that are not to be disturbed within 15 days. I. Install water and sewer mains. J Install storm drainage piping and install rip rap aprons. K. Fine grade street. Place CAW over compacted subgrade, and install concrete curb * gutter and outlet chutes. Install asphalt surface course. L. Contractor must conduct and pass a proof roll test, on the subgrade prior to installing stone, and on the stone prior to installing curb 4 gutter and / or asphalt. The proof roll tests shall be conducted in the presence of a City of Jacksonville Construction inspector. M. Seed, fertilize, and mulch all disturbed areas within 15 days of completing any phase of the grading work. Apply temporary seeding if area is to be disturbed again and permanent if areas have been final graded and accepted by engineer and owner. 2. Seeding Specif ications: Apply lime and fertilizer and work into seed bed, seed mixture shall be distributed uniformly and covered with a clean straw mulch. Mulch shall be crimped or tacked to help hold in place. See Detail sheet for material and application rates. 3. Contractor is responsible for maintaining all erosion control measures and shall amend measures as _required to prevent accelerated erosion from taking place on this site, until site is restabilized and accepted by City of Jacksonville, engineer and owner. 4. Upon restabilization of all disturbed areas and swales, contractor shall remove all temporary erosion control facilities and grade, grass, mulch, and restabilize the areas. 6. For additional information, see specifications and other plans. 7. For erosion control details, seesheet 8 of 10. 8. The existing ditch banks are not to be disturbed and if existing ditch banks are disturbed, they shall be regarded to have 3:1 or flatter side slopes and the centerline graded to produce positive drainage. ,,.. n, yv T11 YAG - f' r r, fi fl ..i✓'P - a *d t s g• .,, d;` d l 1SAl 7114 4_ a 'l i i111, 1 i ; r.l; ER 1 hAi la ; ,Y0!,PS LANPuPLAININERS P. lip 0OX 976JA I NVIL E4 NC 2 k .4 7 eneral, Grading, Drainage, Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan CAROLINA PLACE APARTMENTS AT CAROLINA FOREST 166 Terry Lee Lanier Drive Jacksonville Twp.
