Thank you for submitting your project to City of Winston-Salem. Review of the plans for this project have been
completed. The design is adequate to meet the ordinance standards and the plans have been approved.
If you have not already done so, please provide an original signed and notarized Financial
Responsibility/Ownership form. This document is required prior to the issuance of the Grading/Erosion Control
Permit. If this has already been provided, then please disregard this statement.
If this project will disturb more than 1 acre or is part of a larger common plan of development, the Grading/Erosion
Control Permit cannot be issued until documentation is provided that coverage under the NCG01 Construction
Stormwater Permit (NPDES) has been obtained. Please obtain coverage under the permit at the following website
(https://edocs.deci.nc.gov/Forms/NCG01-NOI). Once coverage is obtained please upload a copy to the project
documents in the electronic plan review system. The Grading/Erosion Control Permit will not be issued until proof
of coverage under NCG01 is provided.
As outlined in the Unified Development Ordinances (UDO) of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, Village of Clemmons,
Town of Lewisville, and Town of Walkertown, Erosion Control Division staff may periodically inspect sites of land
disturbing activity to determine compliance with the Erosion Control ordinances and the approved Erosion Control
Plan. No person shall willfully resist, delay, or obstruct an authorized representative, employee, or agent of the
Erosion Control Division while that person is inspecting or attempting to inspect a land disturbing activity under the
ordinance.

All of the comments have been addressed on the grading application for Clouds Harbor phase 1.
Is there any way we can get an approval email today so I can send in the NCG01 application?
Let me know if you need anything else and I can send it right away. Shugart is really pushing to get started and this is the
last thing we need.

Unfortunately, we cannot conduct our pre -construction meeting yet. We will need to have the erosion control plans
approved, NCG01 COC issued and the grading permit issued prior to conducting the pre -construction meeting for
erosion control.

Good Afternoon guys,

Wesley Kimbrell from the Village of Clemmons is asking to have the pre construction meeting today before 3:30. 1 know
this is really short notice and the ESC plans are not actually approved yet so if it is not possible, I can just ask to
reschedule.
But if we are able to make this work somehow please let me know, that would be great!

Gentlemen,
This email is to inform you that the developer and the designer has met all requirements to obtain a Village of
Clemmons SWM permit. The permit is being held until a pre -con meeting is setup between their team and our staff
regarding the site expectations for this development. The permit will be issued based off of a set of plans that were
submitted with a seal date of 11-23-2021. Please confirm that you have the most recent set of plans, and if all items are
addressed on your end, accept this email on our behalf for agreement to release the grading permit. We will send out
the official SWM permit once the pre -con meeting is completed.
