Dear Mr. Vinson:
Aqua North Carolina, Inc. (Aqua) offers the following response to the above -referenced Notice of Violation
and Intent to Assess Civil Penalty, which was issued for Coliform, Fecal MF exceeding the daily maximum
found in August 2021 Discharge Monitoring Report.
Aqua's Response:
The WWTP disinfection system was operating properly in this time period and the reason for the fecal
cxceedance is not known. It must be noted that several facilities using this same lab had fecal exceedances
in this time period with no known operational problem. Aqua is still actively exploring the lab issue further.
