Dear Mr. Gray:
This office received a Coastal Stormwater permit application and plans for the subject project on
January 30, 2008. A preliminary review of the project indicates that before a State Stormwater permit can
be issued the following additional information is needed.
1) Please note that the receiving waters of Raccoon Creek is correctly classified as SC; Sw, NSW
with an index number of 27-105-5 within the Neuse River Basin. The application has been
revised.
2) The temporary pool elevation on the supplement form reads 1.50 frisl, however on sheet SW-1 it
is given as 1.12. Please revise this plan sheet or application form as needed.
3) The minimum required volume on the Wet Baqsin supplement form is given as 13,753cf, whereas
the provided calculations give it as 9,169cf. Please revise the form as needed.
4) The Wet Basin supplement form gives a 2.00 in. diameter drawdown orifice, whereas the plans
and calculations give a 1.25 in. orifice. Please revise the form or plans as needed.
5) Please do not forget to have any revised plans and calculations signed, sealed and dated.
The above requested information must be received in this office prior to February 21, 2008 or
your application will be returned as incomplete. The return of this project will necessitate resubmittal of
all required items including the application fee. If you need additional time to submit the required
information, please mail or fax your request for time extension to this office at the Letterhead
address.
You should also be aware that the Stormwater Rules require that the permit be issued prior to any
development activity. Construction without a permit is a violation of 15A NCAC 2H.1000 and North
Carolina General Statute 143-215.1 and may result in civil penalties of up to $10,000 per day.
Please reference the Stormwater Project Number above on all correspondence. If you have
