Wastewater Report
Fiscal Year 2019
The Town of White Lake has approximately 2500 sewer connections. Several of these connections are
multiple connections for businesses, motels and campgrounds.
The Town has performed several inspectionsandtests of the sewer system in an effort to locate needed
repairs and have made simple point repairs to help eliminate inflow problems. The Town's engineering
firm has designed plans to repair and/or replace outdated sewer lines during a sewer infrastructure
rehab project. Construction is scheduled to begin early summer of 2020 and will be ongoing until mid -
fall.
The Town of White Lake provides wastewater services at an affordable cost while managing our
program in a financially sustainable manner. We never lose site of the inevitable health and
environmental cost of failing to insure that the Town's wastewater options have sufficient financial
resources to protect the public.
We are pleased to report that our wastewater treatment system is operating at maximum efficiency and
minimum cost effectiveness; however, we had a noncompliance occurrence for a weekly fecal coliform
violation on August 24, 2019. This occurrence'was quickly mitigated and the parameters for the month
were within DEQ's limits.
