Hello Mr. Hiatt,
Attached is the letter I prepared for the DMR in question as well as the Tier I response. As prescribed by the permit at
that time an inspection was conducted within 10 days. Although mi nor erosion was occurring, there appeared to no
suspect or contributing factor at the time of the inspection.
As you are aware, the facility is now under the new permit and I just conducted the stormwater sampling on
8/18/21. We are awaiting the lab results to evaluate further investigation.

I am the Stormwater Coordinator for the Winston-Salem Regional Office, and noticed there was an exceedance of Zinc
at Outfall 1.
The cover letter attached to the DMR dated May 25, 2021, stated that all parameters were at or below the benchmarks.
I was not sure if you were aware of this exceedance. Please let me know you have received this email and initiate a Tier
1 Response.
Once the Tier I Response has been initiated, please contact me and let me know what actions were taken.
