Subject: turbidity from landfield in Davidson Co
I visited the Bowers to Lake Rail project in Davidson County. The rail line runs between 2 Davidson County landfill
properties between Turner and Lower Lake Roads. The landfill property on the North side of the track is moving a lot of
material. The UT to Jimmy's Creek that drains from the landfill property is very turbid where the stream crosses under
the rail. The project inspector said its been like this since the work started at the landfill. I'm telling you, because I want
you to know its not DOT if you get any complaints.
A few years ago, I told Jen that the landfill was slowly filling the wetland with sediment. The wetland and the UT to
Jimmys Creek are part of the same complex. She said she looked into it but couldn't find a source. She might
remember. This is the same location. I can get you a map if necessary.
