Subject: U2800 buffer violation
I was out checking buffer clearing that occurred over the weekend along Business 40 at U2800 in Forsyth County. The
clearing limits didn't match the buffer impact drawings at permit site 5 (upstream and downstream sections) and permit
site 3. After comparing the erosion control plan with the buffer plan, it looks like there are discrepancies between the
two plans. They marked the clearing limits and cleared off of the erosion control plans not the buffer permit
drawings. They are in the process of surveying and staking the limits of the buffer that should have been cleared. They
are also counting the trees that were removed beyond the approved buffer impacts at both permit sites. When they
finish, I'll need you to come out and document the violation. They should be finished by tomorrow morning. I'm
available tomorrow afternoon or Friday. Its not too many trees.
