2. Project Description
2a. Explain the purpose of the proposed project (continue on back):
The purpose of the project is to provide a driveway access to a property (3.26 acres) to be developed as a single residential
home. A single, 8' arch pipe culvert (96" x 67") with stone headwalls on the upstream and downstream end of the pipe will
be installed to enable property access directly from Gaultney Rd. The culvert will be installed along Shawneehaw Creek (8-
22-7; C, Tr). Permanent impacts equal pipe length = 25 linear feet.
2b. Describe the overall project in detail, including the type of equipment to be used:
The pipe will be installed in the dry, with contractors using sandbags and pump- around to work in the dry. The project will
be installed and stabilized prior to the trout moratorium taking affect on October 15'h. A trachoe will be used to install the
pipe at least 1' below the existing streambed per NW14/GC4135 conditions related to culvert installation. The pipe will then
be backfilled with a series of gravel and geogrid layer and effaced with stone headwalls on either side so that the impact to
the stream will only be the length of the proposed pipe (25 If). The property will be accessed by construction equipment via
an existing tertiary driveway from Deer Run Ln.
