Cause or Reason for the Upset/Spill/Bypass: No The pump in the grinder tank has gone bad and pulled high amps causing the breakers in the control panel to trip this cau sed the tank to reach an elevated level, which caused the water to breach the side wall of the tank through the electrical conduit rubber grommet that has become disconnected from the side wall of the tanks. Describe the Repairs Made or Actions Taken: A submersible pump was put in the tank and pumped to a neighboring tank to pump to the gravity sewer. The maintenance crew for the Cottages called a pump truck to pump and clean the tank out on Saturday Oct 2 and is currently working to repl ace the pump and repair the electrical conduit on the tank side wall. The maintenance crew has treated the water on the gr ound by ph adjustment as additional remediation efforts.
