I met with you and backup operator Ronald Locklear on May 24, 2007. The technical assistance was conducted to reevaluate the large wastewater facility operations and to give recommendations regarding the plant modifications and the proper operation of this low influent flow. (7 MGD reduced to less than 1 MGD) See the summary comments in the report. As always, you are to be commended for requesting assistance when needed, in order to protect water quality by achieving and maintaining permit compliance. Currently the plans are to bypass the.-aeratio'n basin by pumping, directly from the EQ basin'to the splitter box to the ' final clarifiers. 4. Operate both mixers and only enough aerators in the aereation or EQ, basin to maintain'a mixed liquor dissolved oxygen at-.1.573 mg1l. After obtaining historical readings-, timers could be used to operate only the aerators -that are needed and when they are needed. 5. The *post aerator operates continuouly, instead. of when needed to meet permit limits. The wastewater treatment olant,operated under it's current permitted fl6w and,genero.us limits, appears to be very little and iarunning itself.
