Dear Mrs. Schutte,
This letter is in response to the one sent to Reed Gold Mine dated November 17, 2020 concerning
deficiencies with compliance inspection on October 30, 2020. The corrective actions that will be taken
by our site are listed below.
1. Water Level Gauge — Lee Garner will obtain quotes for a floating dock to be installed
near the pole for the gauge by the end of January 2021. As funds allow, the site will
procure a dock to be installed for installation and monitoring of the gauge. Everything
will be installed and in place well before the permit renewal application is due in July.
2. Reed Gold Mine will seek to contract with a professional engineer to inspect the lagoon
integrity before the permit renewal application is due in July.
3. Reed Gold Mine will seek quotes to completely pump as necessary the bottom residuals
before the permit application in July.
4. Reed Gold Mine will do a thorough inspection and survey off all sprinkler head uprights
and replace those that have significant damage due corrosion or other defect that
inhibits their normal operation before the permit application in July.
