Zuncich/CJ Cornette Date: 7/29/21 thru 8/3/21 Depth Description Surficial Aquifer 0' - 15' Medium to dark brown, fine to medium grained sands with organics and minor root fragments. 15' - 40' Medium gray, silty dense clay with few gray sand lenses. 40' - 50' Gray, silty clay with shell hash and fine sand. 50' - 70' Shell hash and gray clay with alternating soft and hard rock limestone at 62'. Castle Hayne Aquifer 70' - 85' Weathered fossiliferous limestone with abundant shells. Soft limestone between 79' and 85', transition to dense limestone rock at 85' with good circulation and return. At 80', set 8"casing and sealed with bentonite grout. 85' - 117' Dense, light gray limestone with shell fragments and interbedded greenish gray, very fine to fine grained sand. Good circulation and return with little to no loss. Transitional Zone 117' - 125' Alternating gray limestone and shell and clay mixtures with minor fines. 125' - 140' Gray to dark tan, soft sandstone with shell fragments. Moderate return. Pee Dee Aquifer 140' - 165' Gray to dark tan, soft sandstone with shell fragments, some silt and clay. Persistent drilling fluid loss while maintaining recovery. 165' - 175' Gray to dark tan, hard sandstone with little to no silts and fines. Persistent drilling fluid loss while maintaining recovery (~45 gallons per minute) through the remainder of drilling. 175' - 178' Gray to dark, soft sandstone with increasing silts and fines mixtures.
