Mr. Ori Tuvia
Fast Track Sewer Extension Application for Mount Holly Force Main Project
On behalf of Charlotte Water, Black & Veatch is submitting the enclosed Fast Track Sewer System Extension
Application permitting package for construction of the Stowe Primary Treatment Effluent Dry Force Mains
Project, which includes the construction of two 34" inner diameter (42" OD) HDPE force mains which are to
run in parallel from the Long Creek Pump Station to the Stowe Regional Water Resource Recovery Faculty,
totaling 1,120 feet of linear pipe per dry force main. The force mains are to be installed via trenchless
horizontal directional drilling methods under Long Creek. As previously discussed with your office, this
application is for the installation of the dry force mains only, with no upstream pumping station or
downstream discharge. The proposed Stowe Head Works and Influent Pumping Station and future Stowe
treatment facilities will be permitted in the future under subsequent Sanitary Sewer Extension applications.
The enclosed package includes the following documents:
• Application fee of $480.00
• Fast track application form
• Overall aerial view of the project one copy of 8.5-inch x 11-inch USGS topographic map
• Street level map of the project area
• One 11-inch x 17-inch copy of the Stowe PTE Dry Force Main drawing package
A copy of the above documents will be submitted to Ken Pohlig, NCDEQ Division of Water Infrastructure for
review
If you have any questions or need further information, please contact me at 704-510-8410 (email:
