This letter is in response to the Notice of Intent Case No. NOV-2021-DV-0250
concerning the spill that occurred on Feb 19th, 2021 at 410 Eastchester Drive, Guilford County, High
Point, North Carolina.
The spill at the above -mentioned address lasted for 48 minutes. During that time crews worked to
unstop the sewer main using a Sewer Cleaning truck. It was determined that a blockage consisting of
wipes and roots was the cause. Once the spill was contained all solids were removed and lime was
spread over the area.
This line was cleaned and flushed and will be periodically inspected and added to root control to help
prevent any future spills in this area, but we believe this was an isolated incident. We haven't had any
issues on this line since the overflow.
