As a result of this audit, the City of Lexington was issued a Notice of Deficiency which included a report detailing the components in which the current Stormwater Management Plan was deficient. As required by the Notice of Deficiency, the City of Lexington has submitted a self - audit and a first draft of the Draft Stormwater Management Plan to maintain compliance with the MS4 Permit. On June 14, 2021, the City of Lexington was notified that the 2021 permit renewal queue was full and that the city's permit renewal is scheduled for 2022. Prior to NCDEQ review in January 2022, the City of Lexington will be submitting a second draft of the Stormwater Management Plan that includes the standard 2021 SWMP Template updates. It is our understanding that MS4s audited during the July 1, 2020 — June 30, 2021 Reporting Period are not required to submit an annual report. It is our intent that this letter serves to acknowledge the exemption this year from submitting an Annual Report. The City of Lexington understands our responsibility to comply with the Notice of Deficiency and our duty to maintain compliance with the MS4 Permit.
