Murray Street Wallace, NC 28466 Phone No,: 910-285-2812 The Town of Wallace operates a 5.42 MGD waste water treatment plant on Old Wilmington Rd. southeast of the town. We discharge into the Rockfish of the Cape Fear river basin. The plant consists of the following equipment, a mechanical spiral screen and vortex grit removal, Influent transfer basin with four (4) variable speed pumps, three (3)1.87 MG concrete Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) basins with fine bubble diffusers, floating mixer, floating decanter and two (2) sludge transfer pumps and controls. Five (5)1,443 sefin blowers. One (1) 230,000 gallon post aeration basin with floating aerator. Two (2) tertiary disk filters, two (2) UV disinfection channels with three (3) UV modules in each channel. Effluent basin with four (4) variable speed pumps and controls. One (1) 1.87 MG concrete aerobic sludge digester with three (3) 900 sefin blowers. Two (2) 330,00 gallon concrete sludge thickening basins with one (1) sludge transfer pump and floating decanter in each. One (1) 2,250 kW emergency generator with automatic transfer switch for backup power. During 2018 there were reportable NPDES violations at the wastewater plant. Collection system violations are reported on the Collection Annual Performance Report. Violations: See Attached Sheet Notification: The Town of Wallace customers were informed by a notice in the Wallace Enterprise newspaper that this report was aua lable at Town hall.
