Each well was installed to a depth of 18 ft bgs and screened from 18-8 ft bgs. A 2 ft bentonite seal was placed above the gravel pack from 7-5 ft and grouted from 5 ft to the surface using Portland cement. A protective casing was installed with a concrete pad and identification tag. The wells were developed and sampled by ERM before injections began. During the period from May 16-25, 2018 Redox Tech injected a total of 25,000 lbs of ABC, 3,400 lbs of Sodium Bicarbonate, 300 lbs of Dipotassium Phosphate and 25 L of DHC in a total injectate volume of 17,000 gal across fifty (50) unique injection points determined by ERM. Water used to make the solution was supplied from a nearby fire hydrant via 2.5 inch fire hose, stored in bladder tanks, and deoxygenated using 1,700 lbs of sugar and 17 lbs of yeast. An attempt was made to allow the water to deoxygenate for at least 24 hours before injecting. However, in instances where that was not possible, 0.1 lbs of sodium sulfite was added to each 340 gal batch before the introduction of DHC to reduce the dissolved oxygen content. Injectate was mixed in fifty (50) separate 340 gal batches consisting of 500 lbs of ABC, 68 lbs of Sodium Bicarbonate, 6 lbs of DKP, 0.5 L of DHC and approximately 270 gal of deoxygenated water. Each batch of injectate was intended to be distributed evenly over four (4) depth intervals, 85 gal per interval, at each unique injection point. Page 2 REDOX TECH, LLC "Providing Innovative In Situ Soil and Groundwater Treatment" Redox Tech's crew consisted of Kyle Baseley and Jonathan Sawyer with oversight functions provided by ERM's Tom Naumann. DPT rods were advanced by a Geoprobe 67 series track rig and the ABC solution was mixed in a 550 gal poly tank using a pneumatic stand mixer. The solution was injected using a 2 inch Versamatic high pressure diaphragm pump. The original work plan called for injections to take place at fifty (50) separate points in four (4) separate depth intervals of 15, 12, 9 and 6 ft bgs using a bottom up injection approach. Attempts were made to follow the work plan as closely as possible but due to daylighting at the majority of points most injection attempts at shallower depth intervals failed. When it was not possible to complete injections at one point the remaining injectate was introduced in the deeper intervals of the following point. Care and extra time were taken in the field to distribute amendments as evenly as possible across the entire target area. Table 1 contains in depth notes and data of all injection activities.
