Incident Summary
8/12/2020 Blue liquid observed in creek, traced back to storm box at 200 Gold Leaf. Contacted manager
on site (Mauricio Morales). Told him to find source of dye in storm system. Scott Miles on site.
8/13/2020 Owner contacted Eastern Environmental to clean storm drain but would not accept
responsibility for spill.
8/27/2020
Blue liquid back
Investigating source. Steve Spruill and Scott Miles on site.
Mapping all storm pipes to ensure nothing is offsite of stretch line causing the problem.
Amanda James took sample from sanitary sewer and liquids appear similar (Steve's idea) she will
take them to the lab and test them.
8/31/2020
Samples are identical in composition. Only concentration amounts are different.
No pipes lead to the storm box in question except from Stretchline site. Owner still claims it is
not theirs.
Smoke test planned.
9/4/2020
Smoke test performed. Did not find any connections. Need to camera storm drain in back
parking lot. Saw evidence of the blue dye there.
9/10/2020
Lab confirms there is traces of chromium both in the sanitary sample and the storm drain
sample.
