Box 67 Jefferson, NC 28640 NORTH CAROLINA Environmental Quality June 16, 2021 Subject: Compliance Evaluation Inspection Report Wastewater Collection System Permit WQCS00220 Jefferson Wastewater Collection System Dear Mr. McMillan: On May 11, 2021, Gary Hudson of the Division of Water Resources (Division), Winston- Salem Regional Office met with Tim Church, Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC), to conduct a Compliance Evaluation Inspection of the above referenced Wastewater Collection System. This inspection consists of (1) a review of the permit and accompanying documentation to determine compliance with permit conditions, and (2) an on -site inspection of collection system components. The attached inspection form notes the areas that were evaluated for the inspection, with notable findings outlined as follows. Site Inspections 1. Pump Stations — The Family Center Pump Station was inspected, and no issues were noted. The inspection was considered satisfactory. A permit renewal application was submitted on December 7, 2020. *FOG flyers are mailed once per year, included in the Annual Report, and placed on the city website. *Mr. Church provided a Capital Improvement Plan that covered a 10-year period. *Mr. Church keeps very good records of inspections and maintenance activities. *An adequate Spill Response Action Plan was presented and is available to all personnel. *The system is free of all known points of bypass. *The Family Center Pump Station was inspected, and no problems were noted.
