Quick follow-up question: is it practicable for the outlet section of pipe (from the drop/manhole to the pipe outlet) to be placed essentially flat (rather than 9+% slope) to reduce velocity at the outlet and limit the likelihood of scour in the streambed? -Dave Bailey David E.
