Harmony Rendering Plant WWTP Iredell County
Facility Class III
SIC Code 2077
Dear Ms.Xiao:
This letter is in-reference to the draft permit that the facility received via email on 5-14-2021. During a review of
the draft permit,it was observed that the monitoring requirement limits for BODS,TSS,Oil&Grease, and ammonia
were reduced based on updated production data. The below table shows our production data for the previous 5
years. The data shows that there has not been a reduction in production as it has been primarily flat during this time-
period. The production data that was provided for your review during the permitting process was 1,540,906 lbs.
YEAR TOTAL POUNDS PRODUCED POUNDS PER DAY
2016 560,939,386 1,536,820
2017 556,773,445 1,525,407
2018 527,869,526 1,446,218
2019 561,896,245 1,539,442
2020 557,610,000 1,527,699
Based on this data and our compliance history during this period,we respectfully request that the limits for the prior
mentioned monitoring requirements not be changed and left the same as the previous permit.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Kevin Haynes at 704-546-2602 ext. 232 or
myself at 704.546.2602 ext.225.
