Dear Mr. Rawls,

The Town of Troy recently completed construction of a new ultraviolet light
disinfection (U.V.) system at its wastewater treatment plant. The Town will be hosting a
dedication ceremony and open house for -this new addition to our plant on Monday,
October 20, from 3:00-4:30 PM. The Town of Troy has made a commitment to
protecting the quality of water in Densons Creek and this new U.V. disinfection system
will help us to accomplish this goal. This improvement to our wastewater treatment plant
is part of a much larger effort to protect the high quality waters in Densons Creek. The
Town has also acquired buffers along Densons Creek that will help to protect and
preserve for future generations to enjoy. In addition, a planned Greenway Trail will run
from the Roy Maness Nature Preserve south along Densons Creek to NC Hwy. 24/27.
All of these projects have been made possible by several grants from the NC Clean Water
Management Trust Fund.
The Town would like to invite you to attend this ceremony, and if you know of
anyone else in your organization that would be interested in attending, please pass this
invitation along to them. The plant is located at 650 Glen Road. We look forward to
seeing you there on October 20th.
Sincerely„
