Cotswold Storm Water Narrative
The site is currently undeveloped. The site is being developed as a single-family
residential and townhome development. The existing site drains generally from the
north to the south into an existing pond.
Storm water will sheet drain across the lots into the roadways and will then be collected
into the underground storm system via curb inlets. Some areas will be collected outside
of the street into drop inlets which will convey the runoff into the same underground
storm system. The storm water will then be conveyed through the drainage system into
one of two new on -site wet ponds adjacent to the existing pond. The ponds will
discharge into the existing pond at a rate less than the existing runoff rate for the 1-yr
storm. The wet ponds have been designed in accordance with the latest NCDEQ MDC
Stormwater Design Manual.
