REVIEW PROGRAM
On June 14, 2007, at the request of Mr. Jay Keller, an on-site determination was conducted to review the riparian
buffer width of one stream feature located on the subject property for compliance with the Neuse Buffer Rules
(15A NCAC 2B .0233). The Division of Water Quality (DWQ) has determined that the following:
• During the field visit, it was observed that the riparian buffer width that was staked along the stream was
shorter than the required 50-foot riparian buffer. Two locations were checked and both were shorter than
required (by 4 feet and 11 feet, respectively). It is recommended that Mr. Jay Keller stake out the
bankfull bench of the stream at regular intervals and measure Zones 1 and 2 from his stakes.
This letter only addresses the compliance to the buffer rules of the activity listed above and does not approve any
activity within the buffers or address features that were not observed during the site visit. Nor does this letter
approve any activity within Waters of the United States or Waters of the State. If you have any questions, please
