Land Application of Residuals
City of Newton

The Mooresville Regional Office (MRO) received and reviewed the 2020 Annual Report (AR) for the
above permit. The report indicates that land application occurred on thirteen program permitted fields
with a total of 1,212.99 tons of residuals being applied to 253.50 acres.
All analytical data appears to be present. The report indicates the program is in compliance with the
permit for the Class B residuals.
Quarterly Sodium Absorption Ration (SAR) values were presented in the AR. While the SAR values
appear to be correct. The formulas with the populated values were not presented in the AR. In future, it
would be helpful as part of the AR review if this formula and the populated values were presented in the
AR.
